We are continuing with our study of the life cycle of a butterfly. Today we read the story, Where Butterflies Grow. Be sure to ask your child what part of its body the butterfly uses for tasting!
We are transforming our dramatic play area into the "Pre-K Butterfly Garden". In the photos below, you can see our life cycle of a butterfly hanging from the ceiling. We also have a bare brown tree. This week, the children will create caterpillar eggs on leaves, caterpillars, chrysalises, and butterflies for our tree and butterfly garden. Stay tuned! We'll post photos of our completed garden!
