Today we took the long walk to the dining hall/kitchen to meet some more "school community helpers. Mr Ray, the dining hall manager, gave us a tour of the kitchen......
This is a big pot where one person was making chili for lunch.
Next, we were able to walk into the refrigerator and....

if we wanted, we could walk into the freezer!
Next, we walked into the pantry.
These are some HUGE cans of fruits and vegetables!
The final stop on our tour was the diswashing room. Mr. Ray told us the dishwasher is like a "car wash" for dishes. He even demonstrated how it works.
Many children were eager to touch the "HOT" freshly washed cup!
We learned that the people who work in the kitchen work hard to make sure that we have healthy snacks and lunches. YUM!
