During Free Choice today, we opened the listening center in our classroom library. This was a big hit! The children enjoyed using the headphones to listen to stories.
During the next 2 weeks, we are going to meet some "school community helpers". Today, we met and visited with Mrs. Hoagland, the school nurse. Mrs. Hoagland promised not to give us any shots!
Before we read the story, "Will I Have A Friend?", we discussed what makes a person a good friend. Here were some of the children's thoughts and ideas:
~A good friend plays with you.
~A good friend doesn't hit or kick you.
~A good friend is nice to you.
~A good friend asks you to play.
