Today we introduced our study of Nursery Rhymes with a familiar nursery rhyme, "Mary Had A Little Lamb". Other activities we will do this week include identifying the rhymes in the story, identifying words that appear in the rhyme more than once, and making a class book called, "If Mary's Lamb Came To Our School..."
After reciting the nursery rhyme, we discussed the word fleece. Then, everyone got to feel real lamb's fleece. Be sure to ask your child what the fleece looked like and how it felt.
