FLAGS

We read a great story about the American flag and learned about the meaning of our flag  (the colors, the stars, the stripes, etc.).  We identified where or when we notice the American flag and how it is taken care of (why we don't let it touch the ground, how it is folded, when it is flown at half-mast on the flag pole).  Children also had the opportunity to view flags from different countries.  On Thursday, children will have the opportunity to  design and create their own flags which we will then display in our classroom.
