MORE "M" ACTIVITIES!

With our visit from baby chicks and also a "late start day" last week, we ran out of time to do some of the "M" activities we had planned. So, we fit them in today! In the activity in the photos below, children measured various objects using mini marshmallows.

Last week the children enjoyed exploring the classroom with magnets during Free Choice time. Today, we read the story, "Mickey's Magnet", which explained that some metals are magnetic and some are not. Metals made with iron or steel are magnetic. Following the story, children were each given a magnet to explore the room to experiment and discover things that were magnetic. Check out the photos below to see their discoveries!
